The Otaki Medical Centre would like to welcome Catherine Parata to our team. Catherine is a local who grew up in Manakau and attended Otaki College. Nurse Practitioners work directly with patients. NP’s can diagnose and manage most common and many chronic illnesses. They are authorised to perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, provide counselling, education and write prescriptions. Catherine will be a valuable contribution to our community.
The Otaki Medical Centre is a well-established family friendly practice with an experienced and friendly team of Doctors, 2 Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and support staff whose most important focus is the health and wellbeing of the Otaki community. We are dedicated to providing you with the very best health care. We offer a wide range of services and are able to offer both routine appointments and also emergency/acute care. As well as General Practice, we run clinics including: acute assessments, diabetes, immunisations, biopsies, Long Term Care, flu vaccinations and spot checks.
The practice is privately owned by 1 Director who is a working GP within the practice. He is supported by 2 other GPs, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 5 Nurses, 5 administration support staff, an Administration Manager, a Nurse Team Leader and a CEO.
